Lake Powell, inside Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, straddles the border between Utah and Arizona. It is the second largest man-made reservoir in the world and a year round fishery.
If you were to straighten out all the nooks, crannies and canyons (there are 96!) of its winding shoreline, you would find nearly 2000 miles laid at your feet…longer than the coastline of Oregon, Washington and California combined.

At the end of a graded dirt road, just a little over 2 miles from Utah Scenic Byway 128, you will find the Fisher Towers trailhead. The views from the parking lot are just a hint of what lies beyond…the Colorado River in the distance, red and purple canyons, and of course, the cluster of maroon spires called Fisher Towers that rises 1500 feet above the valley floor.
