The multi-storied pueblo dwellings of Taos, New Mexico have been home to Native Americans for over 1,000 years. Mud and straw adobe walls, continuously maintained by replastering with layers of mud, still glisten with the mica which caused Spaniards to believe they had finally found one of the Seven Cities of Gold.

Hohokam lived in Arizona from AD 200 until 1450.

Dozens of ancient petrogylphs more than 800 years old are the reward that awaits hikers at the end of the Signal Hill trail climb not far from Tucson, Arizona. After making your way up numerous stone steps through a wash and up a hill, the half mile walk ends at the summit of a plateau which is strewn with petroglyph etched rocks.
